Notre Dame may be having a relatively quiet recruiting weekend for its spring game, but other programs are using their inter-squad exhibitions to have larger ones. And many of those schools will be hosting some Irish targets. Ohio State is having its spring game this weekend and will have several athletes on campus including 2021 Maryland offensive lineman Landon Tengwall, who named Notre Dame his leader following a visit to South Bend last month. Other recent Notre Dame visitors who will be in Columbus this weekend include 2021 offensive lineman Harisen Miller, 2021 linebacker Yanni Karlaftis, 2020 running back Michael Drennen II and 2020 defensive end Darrion Henry. Oklahoma has shifted its spring game from Saturday to tonight because of weather. Like the Buckeyes, the Sooners will be hosting some recent Notre Dame visitors. 2020 offensive lineman Jimmy Christ and 2020 cornerback Ryan Watts were both in South Bend on officials last week. 2020 running back Chris Tyree was at Notre Dame a couple weeks ago and is scheduled to be in Norman this weekend along with 2020 offensive lineman Roger Rosengarten, 2020 safety Lathan Ransom and 2020 defensive back Dontae Manning. Texas A&M has also moved its spring game from Saturday to Friday and they will also be hosting several targets, including some on the Notre Dame radar, perhaps none more so than 2020 wide receiver Maliq Carr. Other recruits expected in College Station this weekend include 2020 defensive end Alfred Collins, 2020 receiver Troy Omeire and 2021 defensive ends Tunmise Adeleye and Landon Jackson. Meanwhile, Texas has decided not to shift the date of its spring game, which could allow for prospects like Omeire and Collins to attend both. The Longhorns are also expected to host 2020 running back Bijan Robinson, 2020 offensive lineman Chad Lindberg and 2021 offensive lineman Tommy Brockermeyer. After a great visit to Notre Dame last weekend, 2020 cornerback Jalen Kimber will be at Florida this weekend for his last unofficial visit before planning officials. 2020 Washington, D.C., athlete Mordecai McDaniel was also in South Bend last weekend and will also be in Gainesville this weekend. 2020 running back Kyle Edwards is scheduled to be at Alabama as is top 2021 tight end Cane Berrong. 2020 tight end/defensive end Ben Yurosek was at Notre Dame a couple weeks ago and is expected to be at Washington this weekend.

Notre Dame is holding yet another big recruiting event this weekend and the Irish aren't the only ones. Stanford is holding its Junior Day this weekend and the Cardinal will be hosting a pair of recent Notre Dame visitors along with several others. 2020 Arizona offensive lineman Tosh Baker and 2020 New York running back/athlete Cullen Coleman will both be in Palo Alto after spending last week in South Bend. Baker had a great time at Notre Dame last week and told Irish Sports Daily that he knows where he stands with Notre Dame and Notre Dame knows where it stands with him. He politely declined to expand on exactly what that means, but it sounded positive for the Irish. Like Baker, Coleman would be a fit on and off the field in South Bend, which typically means they'd be fits at Stanford as well. As we've mentioned before, Coleman's brother is headed to play football at Columbia, so there's no doubt academics will be paramount in his decision. 2020 Arizona teammates running back Bijan Robinson and safety Lathan Ransom will be taking a quick swing through California, stopping at UCLA today and USC tomorrow.Ohio State will host multiple recruits again this weekend, including 2020 New Jersey safety Jordan Morant, who has an offer from Notre Dame, and 2021 Colorado receiver Kaden Dudley, who has offers from Colorado and Colorado State and was at Notre Dame on Thursday. Morant and Dudley will both be in Columbus on Friday. Clemson is having its spring game on Saturday, so it's no surprise there will be a host of targets on campus for the Tigers. 2020 Texas safety RJ Mickens and 2021 Texas defensive end Landyn Watson are among the Irish targets who will be on hand. 2020 Texas offensive lineman Chad Lindberg is set to be at Texas A&M. 2021 Virginia safety Bryce Steele, who has an offer from the Irish, will be at Boston College.

Even with only a couple prospects scheduled to be on campus, this could be another impactful recruiting weekend for Notre Dame. The Irish will be hosting top Illinois offensive line target Peter Skoronski along with 2020 Texas wide receiver Will Nixon. But what happens more than 2,000 miles away in Palo Alto could have just as big an impact, if not more, on how multiple recruitments shake out for the Irish as Stanford holds its Junior Day. Several Notre Dame targets are expected to attend including 2020 offensive lineman Andrew Gentry, 2020 wide receiver John Humphreys, 2020 linebacker/running back Kalel Mullings, 2020 offensive lineman Chad Lindberg, 2020 athlete Ben Yurosek and 2021 quarterback Tyler Buchner. Of course, Buchner is fresh off a trip to South Bend and seems like he's getting closer to a decision. This trip could be one of the last boxes for him to check before pulling the trigger. Meanwhile, Gentry has already locked in an official visit to Notre Dame for April. Mullings has already made multiple stops in South Bend while Humphreys was in town a couple months back. The Irish and the Cardinal often find themselves in the mix for the same recruits and there could be some additional clarity coming out of this weekend about which way some prospects may be leaning. Other visits for Notre Dame targets this weekend include the following: 2020 RB Chris Tyree, Alabama2020 DE Cam Large, Wisconsin 2020 WR Xavier Watts, Iowa2020 CB Dontae Manning, Iowa2020 DE Jalen Logan-Redding, Iowa2021 DT Gabriel Rubio, Iowa 2020 CB Jalen Kimber, Texas2020 S Myles Slusher, Texas A&M
