2020 Clear Creek (Texas) offensive lineman Chad Lindberg‍ already holds over 20 offers from the top programs in the country.

Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Utah are Virginia Tech are just a few of the programs that have extended offers to the 6-foot-5, 295-pounder.

“You always dream of it happening, and now it’s happening,” Lindberg told Irish Sports Daily. “It’s fun.”

Notre Dame offered on May 9th, and it was somewhat of a surprise to the four-star prospect.

“It was good to get the offer,” said Lindberg. “I was excited to get the news.”

Lindberg has already been out visits to Arkansas, Georgia, Texas and Texas A&M this spring and he felt each one provided him a unique look at the next level.

“I grew up an SEC fan and watched the SEC every Saturday,” explained Lindberg. “I’m keeping my mind open. I have enjoyed all my visits, and it’s good to learn about each school on the visit because you learn stuff you didn’t know.

“I’m looking at the academic and athletic balance.”

When it comes to his game, Lindberg gets after it on the field, so it’s not a surprise he considers himself an aggressive player.

“I play downhill and all out,” stated Lindberg. “I feel like I can use my hands and feet well. I show a lot of aggression out there to win one-on-one fights.”

Lindberg also realizes he’s not a finished product and improving the basics keep him ahead of the curve.

“I’m always working on footwork,” Lindberg said. “You can always work on getting your feet in the right spot every time. I’m also working to improve my overall athleticism.”

As far as a future position, Lindberg believes he’ll end up a tackle.

“Teams mostly see me playing tackle, but I’m not sure which side yet,” he said.

Lindberg is also aware of Notre Dame’s success at the offensive line position. He saw Mike McGlinchey, and Quenton Nelson get drafted last month and will be paying close attention to the Irish this season.

“I definitely look at that,” said Lindberg. “To have two top 10 offensive line picks is a big factor. I’m interested to see what they do this coming season too.”
