Notre Dame started the 2019 season on a sunny Sunday morning at The Culver Academies and it started just as you thought it would. 
 
There was a lack of surprises on offense in terms of personnel, while linebacker was a revolving door of rotations. Brian Kelly made his way around to every position group it seemed, including coaching up long snapper John Shannon. 
 
Ian Book was Ian Book. Phil Jurkovec had his ups and downs, while freshman quarterback Brendon Clark got a ton of reps for day one.
