Notre Dame went three and out to start the ball game. That was the most surprising part of the day on offense. They did pretty much whatever they wanted to do after that opening drive and the game was over by halftime because of it.

It was exactly how it needed to look for the Irish who were able to pad their stats and jump up to 10th in the country in yards per play at the conclusion of the game.
