For the second straight home game, Notre Dame hosted a 2021 offensive lineman from Michigan powerhouse Cass Tech High School. For last weekend’s showdown with USC, it was Raheem Anderson‍ who was in South Bend.

“It was pretty good,” the 6-foot-3, 300-pounder told Irish Sports Daily. “We toured the facilities and I got to talk to some of the coaches and ate and watched the game. The facilities were nice.”

Anderson was struck by how modern the athletic facilities were on the inside despite the old-school exterior.

“As soon as you walked in, it was very nice,” he said.

Anderson has early scholarship offers from schools like Michigan, Nebraska, Missouri, LSU and Kentucky among others. While in South Bend he met Brian Kelly briefly and had a conversation with Irish offensive line coach Jeff Quinn.

“He was saying that he loved Detroit guys and he had one of our coaches in the past and had one of my teammates down there last week,” said Quinn, referring to 2021 Cass Tech offensive lineman Terrence Enos, who was in town for Notre Dame’s win over Bowling Green earlier in the month.

Anderson enjoyed watching the Irish beat USC 30-27.

“It was a pretty good game all of the way to the end,” he said. “It was a fight, but you could see that Notre Dame outplayed them. Notre Dame got the win. It was good to go down there and see them win.”

Anderson doesn’t have any other visits locked in at this point, but expects to continue hitting the road this fall.

As for Notre Dame, he plans to “stay in contact and show interest in the school.”
