A year ago it looked like Navy was a program on the decline. The magic that Ken Niumatalolo had created after taking over from Paul Johnson looked like it was no longer present. The Midshipmen went 3-10 in 2018, their first losing record since 2011, and the program looked flat on offense and defense.

Last season now looks like a blip on the radar.

After making some necessary changes to his staff on the defensive side of the ball, Navy is a revitalized 7-1.
