It's graduation weekend at Notre Dame and while the University Commencement Ceremony will be online instead of on-campus, the football program is making sure its graduates are recognized.

Notre Dame has started to release videos for each graduate and as their position coach writes a letter to them.

Yes, some will be back in 2020, but it doesn't change the fact they are getting recognized for likely the biggest accomplishment of their life.

Head football coach Brian Kelly started the series by writing a letter to the 2020 class.

To the class of 2020:

I want to take a moment to reflect on your time at Notre Dame.
When you chose to join this fight, you came from different roots, but you had the same hunger. You made a commitment to do what others might not understand. The academic rigor, the unrelenting schedule, a hard road most people won't travel and what a road it's been.

For me, it's been indescribable to grow with you, not just as a player, but as men. And today, you are Notre Dame graduates. You have earned a diploma from the greatest university in the world.

Remember that promise you made to us? To your family, to yourself, well, you've done it, every single one of you, not even a pandemic could break your promise. And you can take that with you forever.

Congratulations. Go Irish.

Notre Dame’s graduates will have a chance to celebrate graduation on-campus next spring in 2021.
