2021 Notre Dame quarterback commit Tyler Buchner entered Tuesday night’s Pro Day workout sitting at No. 2 in the Elite 11 rankings behind Caleb Williams.
Buchner showed a big arm connecting on a couple of deep balls, while also hitting the “rail shot” to beat a cover two on the sideline.
The Helix (Calif.) quarterback probably wished he had two balls back. Once was a route to the sideline where he overthrew the receiver and then another was an intermediate shot downfield.
Buchner fought through a couple of drops to finish strong and drew praise from the Elite 11 staff on a few throws as well, including the 50-yard bomb to the end zone.
