Notre Dame doesn’t face a lot of great defenses this year and they’ll only face one other that stops the run as well at Pitt. This was a test that Notre Dame needed to pass on offense and they did.

6.3 yards per play in non-garbage time is great. They needed explosive plays and got them in the passing games. They had six receptions of 20 yards or more and did that without Ian Book throwing the deep ball a ton.
