Recruitment Rundown
Styles earned his offer at the same camp he and Tyler Buchner attended in 2018. Styles then proceeded to return many times over the next year to let Notre Dame take an advantage in his recruitment. Despite his frequent visits to Notre Dame, Irish fans struggled to think Styles would turn down Ohio State, his father’s alma mater. In the end, Styles made a silent commitment in August of 2019 before committing in-person to the Irish staff in October before the USC game.

Pickerington Central head coach Jay Sharrett (to Spectrum News 1)
“He wants to bring honor to his last name, and he has in this football program. Now he has the entire weight of this football program on his shoulders. Some athletes shrink from that. Some become very boastful about it. He's just about it.”

ISD expert Jamie Uyeyama
I know that everyone who Notre Dame recruits who can run like he does gets put into the Will Fuller category, but that’s only because Fuller is the gold standard for recent speed receivers. Styles Jr. will play the same position as Fuller when he gets to South Bend and there are definitely some athletic traits that Styles Jr. has that remind me of Fuller. He might not end up quite as fast, but shows more potential to break tackles in the open field.

He has the potential to be an impact player at the next level. I think he can be much more than a deep threat and be a tremendous asset after the catch while also contributing as a returner.

I could see him playing immediately and eventually developing into one of the better speed receivers in college football.

Favorite quote to ISD
"My dad is great with the football aspect and my mom is really smart. She got a full-ride to Ohio State as well, but it was for academics.

"She pushes me super hard on the academic side. I have my dad to push me hard on the football side, so it's a really good balance."
