Notre Dame LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Named ACC Defensive Player of the Year
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is having a week.
The Virginia native took home the Butkus Award earlier this week and now has been named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
Owusu-Koramoah, a first-team All-ACC selection, tied for the team lead in tackles with 56 and leads the Irish with 11.0 tackles for loss.
The senior linebacker has helped lead the Notre Dame defense rank third in the ACC in rushing yards per game at 110.9 and passing yards allowed (224.5).
Owusu-Koramoah is a Bednarik Award and Nagurski Trophy finalist and is also a semifinalist for the LOTT Impact Trophy.
The ACC’s 2020 season award winners were chosen by a vote of a select 49-member media panel and the league’s 15 head coaches.
