INTEL | Notre Dame DC Gets High Marks From Players, Recruits, Coaches

In talking with people who have played for, been recruited by or coached Marcus Freeman, one thing is clear, Notre Dame’s new defensive coordinator is a players’ coach.

“He loves his players,” one source says. “He’s very down to earth and easy to talk to. He wants to get to know everyone.”

Another source called Freeman a “high-energy guy.”

“Hell, he might still be able to play,” the source says.
