There’s no need to question Mac Markway’s toughness.

Before every game down the stretch of De Smet High School’s run to a state championship in 2019, the 2023 Missouri tight end went to the trainer to get his wrists taped.

Between football and basketball seasons, Markway figured he better get the wrists checked out.

“And it turned out that his wrists were broken,” De Smet head coach Robert Steeples says.
