Notre Dame in Running to Get Official Visit from Holmes

Notre Dame expanded its 2017 offer list on Saturday, as Northwest (Texas) wide receiver Gavin Holmes picked up an offer. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder knew the Irish had interest, as former offensive coordinator Mike Sanford was at his high school a few weeks ago, but it was head coach Brian Kelly that gave the good news.

“I talked to Coach Kelly on the phone and he sent me the official scholarship letter too.” Holmes told Irish Sports Daily.
