2022 Christian Brothers (Tenn.) running back Dallan Hayden‍ is making his way around the Midwest this week.

The four-star prospect spent the day at Ohio State on Wednesday and then made his way to Notre Dame on Thursday before ending the trip at Illinois to see his brother, Chase.

"It went pretty well," Hayden told ISD. "I had seen videos and stuff on virtual tours of the campus. The campus is just beautiful. Once I saw the Golden Dome, I was like, 'Oh, Ok. This is legit.'

"Sometimes pictures can overhype a place, but that wasn't the case at all with Notre Dame."

Another Notre Dame landmark that impressed Hayden was Touchdown Jesus.

"Touchdown Jesus was pretty nice," laughed Hayden. "You see that at games and stuff, but when I saw it, I had to get a picture."

The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder wasn't able to connect with coaches or players at either school due to NCAA rules, but it was vital for him to see each university in-person.

"I just wanted to see the places," stated Hayden. "I had never been to either school. It was a blessing to be able to see both and I really enjoyed it."

Lance Taylor and Tommy Rees have led the charge for the Irish and despite not getting to see them on Thursday, Hayden was able to accomplish what he set out to do.

"I wanted to get a vibe for Notre Dame and see if I could see myself here and spending the next four years of my life here," explained Hayden. "I could see myself here, but there are also other factors that will go into making an important decision like this. The official visit will be really key."

Hayden didn't see too many differences in the two programs as it was just a self-guided tour, but he'll be back to Columbus and South Bend very soon.

"As of right now, I'm taking official visits to Notre Dame, Ohio State and maybe Illinois," stated Hayden.

"I'll be taking my official visit in June, I don't have a date yet, but I'll be back in June."

During those official visits, the experience Hayden has will be essential to his decision as he plans to have one made before the start of his senior season.

"I'll make it after I take my officials," said Hayden. "I want my recruitment to be over before my senior season. I don't want to go into the season worrying about what trips I have to make. That's why I'm trying to get it done this summer."
