After helping his high school squad to a state championship this past weekend, 2022 Virginia safety Sherrod Covil Jr. will turn his attention to recruiting, which will include an official visit to South Bend.

WOODBINE, Md. – Sherrod Covil Jr.‍ already liked what he’d been hearing from Notre Dame safeties coach Chris O’Leary and assistant Nick Lezynski about the opportunity to possibly get on the field early.

Communication recently increased between the 2022 Virginia safety and Irish defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman and Covil likes what he’s hearing from Freeman too.
