Notre Dame is no stranger to Bishop Gorman (Nev.), as the Irish have recruited the school hard over the last 10 years and it doesn't look like it's slowing down any time soon.

2022 vyper target Cyrus Moss‍ has been a hot name for Notre Dame fans over the last year, but the class of 2023 will be looking to impress the Irish staff in June.

2023 linebacker Palaie Faoa‍ will be making a trip to South Bend in June for camp and he couldn't be more excited to get his first Notre Dame experience.

"I'm actually very excited," Faoa told ISD. "It's going to be my first time out there. I talked to a lot of family and coaches about it, but actually going out there, I'm very excited. I'm going with a couple of my teammates, so it will be great."

The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder will likely join Bishop Gorman defensive backs coach Nicco Fertitta and a couple of teammates on the trip.

"I'm coming out with Kodi DeCambra‍ (2023 DB) and Justin Rhett (2023 CB)," said Faoa. "I think Coach Nicco and Coach (Brent) Browner are coming out too."

Fertitta, a former Notre Dame safety, has been in his players ears about Notre Dame and Faoa has soaked in every word.

"He talked to us a lot about Notre Dame," explained Faoa. "The main part was Notre Dame is more than football. It's about life and your future. Academics was another thing he talked about and that will play a big part in my recruiting process."

Faoa, a cousin of Notre Dame defensive end Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa, received his first offer from Arizona and it was a memorable experience.

"We were at practice and I was stretching," recalled Faoa. "My coach came up to me and told me to go to his office. I got scared. I thought I was in trouble.

"He told me to pull out my phone, so I thought he was going to go through my phone. He said to call this number and I was very excited to receive my first offer. I didn't think I was going to get an offer. It meant a lot to me."

Faoa enters May with offers from Arizona, Colorado and Utah State, but he's not satisfied just yet.

"It makes me hungry for more," stated Faoa. "The three schools I have offers from are great schools, but I'm still young and looking for other schools and looking at what will benefit me when I look into colleges.

"I'm going to look into the school, the program and the environment. I'm a Christian and it means a lot to me. I take my faith seriously, so I'll be looking at the faith component."
