Elite 2023 TE Duce Robinson Previews Notre Dame Visit
Duce Robinson is about to get his first look at Notre Dame and the big-time 2023 Arizona tight end is looking forward to it.
The Phoenix native will be in South Bend on Monday for an unofficial visit.
“I'm super excited,” he says. “I'm honestly just excited to be able to meet the coaching staff in person.
“I've been able to talk to them a bunch on the phone, but it's kind of a different feeling when you're face to face in person, so I'm super excited to be able to meet them.”
The Pinnacle High School standout has offers from schools like Notre Dame, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Georgia and Florida State among several others.
Irish tight ends coach John McNulty has been leading up Robinson’s recruitment.
“I love Coach McNulty,” the 6-foot-6, 220-pounder says. “He just seems super passionate about the game in general. It seems like he loves his players. He's always bragging about them. He seems like a really good guy.”
Robinson is also looking forward to seeing the campus.
“I'm really excited to see the facilities and just the campus,” he says. “I've heard it's a super sweet campus, so I'm super excited to see that.”
A standout baseball player as well, Robinson is hoping to play both sports in college, but isn’t sure how much baseball stuff he’ll be able to see during the visit.
“I know we were talking about seeing the baseball facilities a little bit and talking to the baseball staff, but I'm not really sure,” he says.
He has some other visits lined up for the rest of the month as well.
“I'm going to go to a couple of schools in the SEC, down south and then a couple of schools throughout the Pac-12 and throughout the Midwest and the Big 12.”
