2024 DE Elijah Rushing Recaps Notre Dame Trip
Elijah Rushing is clearly a prospect worth keeping an eye on and Notre Dame was able to get the 2024 Arizona defensive end to campus for the Irish’s game against Purdue this past Saturday.
“It was really good,” Rushing told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “I loved the energy, the academics.
“They had this whole speech on academics, which I really liked and just how they can compete while still being one of the top academic schools. It really grabbed my attention.”
The Irish’s win over Purdue and the atmosphere inside the stadium also grabbed his attention.
“The energy was unlike anything I've ever seen,” he said.
The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder from Salpointe Catholic already has offers from in-state powers Arizona and Arizona State.
While in South Bend, Rushing had the chance to speak with Irish defensive line coach Mike Elston.
“He was cool,” Rushing said of Elston. “He seemed like a good dude. He was straightforward and just gave me the honest truth.
“They haven't evaluated the 2024 class yet, so they're still evaluating it.”
Rushing definitely plans on keeping in touch with Notre Dame staff.
He has plans to hit an Arizona game soon as well.
