What would a recruiting cycle be without a “secret visit”?
McFerson made a commitment to Wake Forest way back in September of 2020, but when Notre Dame learned Jay Bramblett would be doing a grad transfer after the season, the Irish reached out to McFerson in October of this year.
McFerson took an “under-the-radar" visit then and when told he had an offer to play at Notre Dame, he knew that's where he needed to be. He made the flip public in November.
