Notre Dame Lands 2022 PWO Kicker Zac Yoakam
Notre Dame has added another piece to the 2022 class as Upper Arlington (Ohio) kicker Zac Yoakam has committed to the Fighting Irish and special teams coordinator Brian Mason.
The 5-foot-10, 160-pounder is ranked as the No. 9 kicker in the country per Chris Sailer Kicking and earned a six-star ranking, which Sailer believes to be a Power Five freshman starter or a future scholarship player.
As a senior, Yoakam recorded 98 points, 73 touchbacks on 92 kickoffs while going 9-for-14 on field goals, including a long of 44 yards. The Ohio native connected on all 71 extra points.
Sailer on Yoakam:
“Zac is a fantastic high school kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a live leg. Zac does an outstanding job on field goal. He hits a clean ball off the ground and easily has 55+ yard range. His kickoffs are strong, college ready. Zac drives the ball 65+ yards, with 4.0+ hang time. He is a competitor that thrives under pressure. Zac is one of the most confident kickers in America. I look forward to seeing what the future holds.”
Yoakam was previously committed to Dartmouth and held scholarship offers from Air Force, Dartmouth, Lake Erie College and Villanova
