Notre Dame Keeping Close Tabs on 2024 DL Brandon Davis-Swain
2024 West Bloomfield (Mich.) defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain made a trip to Notre Dame last summer and now has started to call Irish defensive line coach Al Washington.
"I like Coach Washington,” Davis-Swain told ISD. “He's a cool coach and a cool guy."
The 6-foot-4, 246-pounder was also impressed with what he saw in South Bend during his visit and Notre Dame is a program Davis-Swain hopes to see again.
"It was cool,” said Davis-Swain. “It was a nice and beautiful campus. It was big. I met some of the coaches too.
"I want to go see Iowa, Notre Dame, Cincinnati and Ole Miss."
Davis-Swain isn’t in a rush to make a commitment as offers keep rolling in.
"I'm open to all schools,” Davis-Swain said. “I just went to Michigan and watched practice."
Despite being just a sophomore, Davis-Swain is already paying close attention to small details during his visits.
"I want to see the culture,” explained Davis-Swain. “I pay attention to the coaches to see the vibe I get from them."
When it comes to the offseason, Davis-Swain is putting in the work as he knows the early recruiting attention is just the beginning.
"Everything is going well,” said Davis-Swain. “I've been working out. I want to get stronger, faster. I want to improve my feet and hands because there is always more to improve."
