2024 Carrollwood Day (Fla.) running back Anthony Carrie‍ is one of the most coveted backs in the country and Notre Dame running backs coach Deland McCullough has made a positive impression in recent weeks.

The four-star prospect has made sure to call McCullough and Director Recruiting Chad Bowden over the last few weeks to start developing a relationship with the Fighting Irish staff.

"I'm talking to Coach McCullough and conversations have gone well,” Carrie told ISD. “I think they will pull the trigger on me whenever they offer everyone in my class on St. Patrick's Day. We'll see how that goes.

"I've also been talking to Chad Bowden. Conversations have gone well with him too."

If Notre Dame joins the mix, the Irish would be a school the 6-foot, 185-pounder would give a serious look at as he already sees a great opportunity.

"It would be amazing,” stated Carries. “I feel Notre Dame is a school with plenty of opportunities and a school I could see myself succeeding at, so it would mean a lot."

Carrie is no stranger to big-time offers as he holds one of the finest offer lists in the country, but he also knows it comes with responsibility.

"The initial feeling is always great and exciting,” said Carries. “The reality of it is I have to keep grinding. It puts a target on my back, so I have to want to work."

The recruiting process has come quickly for Carrollwood Day star and Carrie isn’t too surprised as he prepared for this moment over the last few years.

"I kind of knew this was coming,” Carrie explained. “I didn't know it was coming so fast. Going into high school, I was preparing myself for an amazing high school career, so I knew if I made the right connections, talked to the right people and prepared how I was already preparing, there would be no doubt I would be a top guy in the nation because of the growth I still have.”

Carrie isn’t just a football player, but he’s also started his on YouTube channel where he has started to document his recruiting process in hopes the next generation will be able to learn from his experiences. (Subscribe to his channel here: (Young Athletes TV)

"I was inspired by experience,” stated Carries. “When I was younger, I used to look on YouTube to try to find out what being a Division I recruit was like and I could never find anything. I took it upon myself to start a YouTube channel so the kids that are having the same thought I had when I was a kid can have something to look at to get a feel for everything."

As for his recruitment, Carries recently visited Georgia and Georgia Tech and hopes to get to a few more schools in the South in the spring.

"I'm going to try to get to Florida,” said Carrie. “I was supposed to be at LSU, but my flight was canceled, so I wasn't able to get there. I plan to get back to LSU.

"I'll have some more during the summer."
