WHAT TO WATCH 

- Notre Dame simply needs a win. The Irish are on a four-game losing streak with a tragic loss last Friday against Virginia Tech as the Hokies scored five runs in the ninth. The South Bend weather did not let the Irish get back on track as the games set for Saturday and Sunday were canceled. 

- The Irish have struggled to move runners in scoring position. Tuesday should be a golden opportunity to work on this, but simply gain confidence heading into a huge weekend at No. 5 Florida State. 

- Link Jarrett’s squad is still doing good work on the field as the Irish ranked No. 2 in fielding percentage, No. 5 in hits allowed per nine innings and No. 10 in strikeouts per nine innings. 

- Notre Dame needs to get the bats going. End of story.
