WHAT TO WATCH 

- Notre Dame will need to take Saturday’s game to avoid the sweep as Duke took game one (15-5) and game two (4-3). 

- The Irish pitching was much better on Friday, but they still gave up double-digit hits in both games. 

- Notre Dame 2B Jared Miller, 3B Jack Brannigan and LF Ryan Cole have gone a combined 1-for-25 this weekend at the plate. 

- Link Jarrett’s club entered the series on a nine-game winning streak and the Irish have simply looked a little uninterested at times in Durham, which is uncommon for this club. 

- The good news is Louisville has dropped the first two games against Florida State, so the Cardinals haven’t pulled away in the Atlantic Division. The bad news is NC State has now overtaken Notre Dame for second-place in the Atlantic as the Wolfpack are now 10-7 in the ACC while the Irish are sitting at 8-6.
