- Notre Dame got off to a fast start on Tuesday against Valpo with three runs in the first inning. Link Jarret would like to see a little more offense, but the Irish never gave Valpo a chance to get in the game. 

- The Mastodons are No. 2 in the Horizon League with 34 home runs. For comparison, Notre Dame is last in the ACC in home runs with 33. 

- Notre Dame’s two midweek games were big before, but with the future of RHP Ryan McLinksey unknown, the Irish bullpen will get crucial work before jumping back into ACC play on Friday.
