Notre Dame BBQ Preview | 2024 Offense

After spending a good chunk of June filling out key pieces of its 2023 recruiting class, the focus will be on the underclassmen on Tuesday, when Notre Dame holds its Summer BBQ.

The Irish will be hosting several 2024 prospects, including multiple commits like quarterback CJ Carr‍, wide receiver Cam Williams‍ and defensive lineman Owen Wafle‍, but here’s a look at the uncommitted targets on the offensive side of the ball who will be in town.

RB Aneyas Williams‍

The Missouri target exploded onto the national recruiting radar last month, scoring offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Kentucky and Florida during an impressive camp circuit. He’s being seriously pursued by the Irish, the Crimson Tide, the Gators and Georgia, so the fact that he’s locked in a return trip to South Bend says a lot. Both sides are clearly interested here, but his timeline for a final decision isn’t yet clear.

WR Josiah Brown‍

The New York athlete was offered back in March. Initially, he was offered as a defensive back, but Notre Dame is now recruiting him as a receiver, which Brown says is his preference. He visited Penn State in the spring and expects to return to Happy Valley later this week along with Rutgers. He’s clearly interested in what the Irish offer on and off the field. He doesn’t appear to be in a rush to make a decision.

WR Mylan Graham‍

The four-star prospect is fresh off a big camp performance at Alabama, which earned him an offer from Nick Saban on Monday afternoon. Graham has all the talent in the world, but as mentioned earlier this week, he needs to continue to progress away from the field, which we're told he's doing. Notre Dame continues to be a top school for the in-state product.

WR Emmett Mosley‍

The son of two former standout Irish athletes, the California native is a top target for the Irish. He visited South Bend for the first time in years back in April and walked away extremely impressed. His parents have not hidden the fact that they would love it if he chose the Irish, but won’t push him. Notre Dame is in good position, but USC, Alabama and Georgia are pushing as well.

WR Ryan Wingo‍

Barely a month after visiting Notre Dame, the St. Louis star will be back on campus for the BBQ. Wingo has seen himself become a huge priority for the Irish over the last several months and he’s noticed. He’s also noticed a major difference in the vibe of the program under Marcus Freeman, in a good way. He’ll visit Miami at the end of the week. While the Irish are in a good position, Wingo seems like he’ll take his time during the process.

OL Peter Jones

After being offered by the Irish back in March, the Pennsylvania offensive lineman made his way to South Bend in April and was blown away. He’ll return with several family members on Tuesday ready to get a deeper look inside Notre Dame as a program and school. He’s been to Penn State and plans to return to Happy Valley later this week. Michigan, Oklahoma and Boston College are also in the mix. We’re expecting Jones to cut his list relatively soon and for the Irish to make the cut.

OL Ian Moore

The in-state offensive lineman has certainly blown up over the past few months, adding offers from Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Miami and Florida State among others. He visited Columbus and Madison last month. He’s kept in regular communication with the Irish and was in South Bend for an unofficial in April. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Notre Dame take the next step on Tuesday.
