Irish Offense Wins Blue Jersey in Stadium Scrimmage, Patterson “Questionable” for OSU

On Thursday, the first-team offense turned the ball over just once in its victory, and Jarrett Patterson needs at least 10 days of rest for his sprained right foot.

On Thursday, the Irish held a 90-play scrimmage inside Notre Dame Stadium for practice No. 12 of fall camp. 

For about 30 plays, the first-team offense faced off against the first-team defense. The second and third-team units each received a similar number of snaps. 

Head coach Marcus Freeman’s objective was to create as many competitive situations as possible through the scrimmage, and he tailored the rules accordingly.
