Three for Tuesday

Notre Dame head football coach Marcus Freeman stated the honeymoon stage was over following the 37-35 loss to Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl. 

It was true. Losing at Notre Dame isn’t accepted. Yet, Freeman didn’t have to coach the game and his back was against the wall with an incomplete staff and Notre Dame’s two best players sitting out. 

Freeman’s Fighting Irish fell to then No. 2 Ohio State in week one, but gave the Buckeyes all they wanted in Columbus.
