After sitting out the season-opener with an injury, 2023 Notre Dame running back commit Jayden Limar‍ returned to the high school gridiron with a bang on Friday night.

Limar finished with 242 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries while adding 55 more receiving yards and another score in leading Lake Stevens to a 37-28 win over Bellevue.
“Jayden is lightning,” Lake Stevens coach Tom Tri told the Seattle Times. “That guy, he is nails. But honestly, it starts up front. I thought our offensive line did a great job opening up our inside run, and our outside run.”

Limar admitted to the Times that sometimes even he questions whether he’s worthy of all the attention and accolades he’s received.

“Sometimes, I doubt myself, all the hype around my name,” Limar said. “But when I perform like that, I just kind of feel like I do work with what I get. I just know I’m that guy. If I put the work in, I can go wherever.”

JAMES HAS A DAY: 2023 Irish wide receiver commit Braylon James‍ made his impact felt during Stony Point’s 55-7 win over Pflugerville on Thursday night.

The Texan caught four passes for 114 yards and a score.

James and TCU running back commit Cameron Cook‍, who had 200 total yards and four touchdowns, have led Stony Point’s explosive offense.

“We just kind of let the kids get out in space and make plays,” Stony Point head coach Craig Chessher told the Austin American-Statesman. “We run a play, and if they’re better than someone else — it’s fun to watch. Talent is a good thing to have … and our offensive line is also playing really well.”

GREATHOUSE LOOKS GREAT: 2023 Notre Dame wide receiver commit Jaden Greathouse‍ caught four passes for 92 yards, but it was his 52-yard punt return for a touchdown that made the biggest impact on Westlake’s 56-6 win over Atkins on Thursday night.

It was Greathouse’s second punt return for a score in as many weeks for Westlake, which was leading 42-0 at the half.

DYLAN DOES IT AGAIN: 2023 Irish running back commit Dylan Edwards‍ has flashed his speed and explosion early in his high school season and broke another long run on Friday night, this time a 57-yard touchdown run.

Edwards finished with 106 rushing yards on the night as Derby defeated Salina South 69-20.

CJ SMOOTH LOOKS SHARP: 2024 Irish quarterback commit CJ Carr‍ was solid in Saline’s 42-7 win over Lincoln on Friday night.

In essentially one half of work, Carr completed 13 of his 17 pass attempts for 177 yards and three touchdowns. The blowout win provided an opportunity for Carr’s younger brother, Tommy, to get some game reps.

The game was an “Orange Out” with the entire community and both teams wearing Orange in support of the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation, which was started in memory of CJ’s younger brother, Chad.

CAM SHINES IN WIN: 2024 Notre Dame wide receiver commit Cam Williams‍ had a monster game in Glenbard South’s 56-21 victory over Larkin.

Williams finished with six receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns.
