Saturday’s game against Cal was supposed to be the “reset.”  All the miscues, mental mistakes, physical blunders, and coaching mishaps were an aberration.  That wasn’t the actual Irish team who played against Marshall.  The real Notre Dame team would step up and show themselves and we would all be happy again.

And then I watched one of the ugliest halves of offensive football I can ever remember watching.  It was truly offensive.
