2025 Notre Dame WR Target Koby Howard Hoping To Return Soon
Things slowed down fast for Koby Howard after the elite 2025 Florida wide receiver suffered an injury on the camp circuit.
“Recruiting-wise, it's kind of slowed down because on June 25th, I broke my leg at a Miami camp,” the Pensacola Catholic star said.
That came just weeks after he earned an offer from Notre Dame at Irish Invasion. He tore up the summer camp circuit while he could, landing offers from Texas A&M, Penn State, LSU, Florida and Miami before suffering his injury.
He started rehab earlier this month and is hoping to be back on the field sometime in October.
“Mentally, it was hard when I first broke it, but now I'm starting to get along really well,” he said.
Being a 2025 prospect, Notre Dame isn’t allowed to directly contact Howard yet, so communication hasn’t been consistent since the offer, but the interest remains.
“Most definitely,” Howard said. “I really like the new coaching staff Notre Dame has and the facility was nice. They made me feel like home there.”
He’s hoping to make it to a game in South Bend this season.
“I don't know which one yet though,” he said. “I would want to see them throw the ball, spread the ball out.
Howard was in Gainesville for the Gators’ season-opening win over Utah and was in College Station last week for the Aggies’ win over Miami.
He hasn’t mapped out an itinerary through the fall.
“I'm kind of planning it along the way.”
