Notre Dame had momentum as the Irish returned home to host Stanford and four hours later there are more questions than answers as the Cardinal left South Bend with a 16-14 victory. 

The loss moves Marcus Freeman’s Irish back to .500 at 3-3 and Notre Dame will look to rebound against UNLV next week before a big road trip to Syracuse to end the month.
