This game really fit into who Notre Dame has been on defense this season.

They were really good in a lot of areas. They didn’t allow a single run of more than 10-yards and gave up only 2.5 yards per carry (taking out the one sack). They allowed only 3.4 yards per play on first down.

16 points was also the lowest total Stanford has put on the board this season and this was also their lowest YPP.
