Marc Nave‍ took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame last weekend’s game against Stanford and the 2024 Ohio offensive lineman left impressed.

“Campus is nice,” Nave told Irish Sports Daily. “The people were nice.

“Everything about that place is nice.”

The Central Catholic High School standout already has offers from schools like Kentucky, Bowling Green, Toledo, Akron and UMass.

“The first half of the visit was getting height and weight and then they had us sit in the indoor facility for about an hour or two just to hang out,” he explained. “Then, we went over to the players' lounge to see what was in there.

“Then after that, we went back to the indoor facility to listen to some speakers.”

Nave and the other visitors heard from former players and the mother of one player.

“They talked about how their recruiting went and how their careers ended up,” he said. “Then after that, we went to the pregame and we just watched the players warm up and then after that it was gametime.”

The atmosphere inside the stadium for the night game against the Cardinal stood out to the 6-foot-5, 325-pounder.

“It was very loud,” he said. “All of the students are very enthusiastic about their team, so it was a real nice environment.”

Nave took off during the third quarter, but was impressed with how the Irish came out in the second half.

“Obviously, there's always stuff to fix, and they started off slow, but they kind of tried to pick it back up, but it just wasn't enough,” he said.

Already this fall, he’s visited local schools like Bowling Green and Toledo as well as Kentucky and Michigan State. He doesn’t have any other visits planned just yet.

Nave had the chance to speak with a couple coaches while in attendance and is looking forward to continuing to do so.

“Hopefully, just keep on building stronger relationship with their coaches, because obviously, I like what they have to offer,” he said of what’s next for him and Notre Dame.

“When their speakers were talking about setting people up for the next 40 years of their life with just the next four years being at Notre Dame, so what they're offering, not just on the football field, but in classrooms and stuff like that. Obviously, in the back of my mind that seems like something special to be a part of.”
