Week in, week out we can count on Dylan Edwards to throw up monster numbers in his high school game to lead off the Commit Recap.
This past weekend was no different.
The 2023 Notre Dame running back commit (pictured above) led his Derby squad to a 49-20 victory over Newton.
Edwards carried the ball 19 times for 295 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Edwards has 1,267 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns on 127 carries this season along with 11 receptions for another 118 yards and two scores.
The postseason begins for Derby on Friday against Wichita South.
LIMAR LIGHTS IT UP AGAIN: Not to be outdone, Jayden Limar put together an outstanding game of his own.
The 2023 Irish running back commit touted the rock 17 times for 239 yards and four touchdowns during Lake Stevens’ 56-10 victory over Mukilteo Kamiak.
Lake Stevens was a bit inconsistent earlier in the year, but seems to have things figured out down the stretch.
Limar currently has 1,053 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns on 108 carries so far this season along with 13 catches for 132 more yards and another score.
LOVE ALL-AROUND: The Irish’s most recent running back commit in the Class of 2023 had a standout game of his own.
Jeremiyah Love ran the ball 12 times for 97 yards and also pulled in three passes for 100 yards and a score as Christian Brothers College defeated Edwardsville 45-17.
Love has 630 yards and 10 touchdowns on 80 carries so far this season to go with eight receptions for 243 yards and two touchdowns.

GREATHOUSE CONTINUES TO LEAVE HIS MARK: Austin Westlake isn’t just one of the most storied programs in the state of Texas, it’s one of the most storied programs in the country.
So, what Jaden Greathouse is doing there is worth noting.
The 2023 Irish wide receiver continues to write his name all over the program’s history books and added another chapter during its 70-0 win over Austin.
Greathouse caught five passes for 112 yards and two scores, including a 50-yarder that gave him 50 career touchdowns.
Earlier in the month, Greathouse notched his 200th career reception.
On the season, Greathouse has 32 catches for 616 yards and six scores.
OTHER 2023 COMMIT PERFORMANCES
Peyton Bowen didn’t get too many opportunities to shine during Guyer’s nationally-televised game against Allen on Thursday, but the 2023 Irish safety commit took advantage of one opportunity in a major way. Bowen’s 60-yard punt return was the highlight of the week during Guyer’s 49-7 win over Allen.

Braylon James caught two passes for 53 yards and a touchdown, in Stony Point’s 45-21 win over Westwood. The 2023 Irish receiver commit has caught 25 passes this season for 575 yards and five touchdowns.
2023 Notre Dame safety commit Adon Shuler continues to be a force on both sides of the ball for Irvington High School this fall. Shuler rushed for 127 yards on 12 carries during the Knights’ 27-18 win over West Orange this weekend. Irvington starts this postseason this Friday against Syerville.
2023 Notre Dame safety commit Benjamin Minich had a pick and a sack during Lakota West’s 31-14 win over Colerain. Minich also caught five passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. The playoffs begin on Friday against Lebanon.
2023 Irish cornerback commit Micah Bell continues to terrorize defenses as a running back, but his 149 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries weren’t enough last week as his Kinkaid squad fell to Episcopal 21-15. On the season, Bell has 1,046 yards and 12 touchdowns on 169 carries.

2024 COMMITS SHINE
2024 quarterback commit CJ Carr was back to his typical efficient self this past weekend, completing 26 of 35 passes for 383 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for two more during Saline’s 49-21 victory over Lake Orion. On the season, Carr has completed 163 of his 236 pass attempts (69.1%) for 2,158 yards and 20 touchdowns against just four inteceptions. He’s run for another seven scores and 220 yards on 53 attempts. Saline opens postseason play against Huron on Friday night.
2024 receiver commit Cam Williams continued his impressive season, turning three catches into 78 yards and two touchdowns during Glenbard South’s 43-22 win over Elgin. Williams has caught 44 passes for 889 yards and 11 touchdowns so far this season. They start the playoffs this Friday against Nazareth Academy.
2024 Irish tight end commit Jack Larsen turned his three catches into 89 yards and two scores as Charlotte Catholic defeated East Meck 56-6. Larsen has 27 catches for 493 yards and five touchdowns on the season.
