Week in, week out we can count on Dylan Edwards‍ to throw up monster numbers in his high school game to lead off the Commit Recap.

This past weekend was no different.

The 2023 Notre Dame running back commit (pictured above) led his Derby squad to a 49-20 victory over Newton.

Edwards carried the ball 19 times for 295 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Edwards has 1,267 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns on 127 carries this season along with 11 receptions for another 118 yards and two scores.

The postseason begins for Derby on Friday against Wichita South.

LIMAR LIGHTS IT UP AGAIN: Not to be outdone, Jayden Limar‍ put together an outstanding game of his own.

The 2023 Irish running back commit touted the rock 17 times for 239 yards and four touchdowns during Lake Stevens’ 56-10 victory over Mukilteo Kamiak.

Lake Stevens was a bit inconsistent earlier in the year, but seems to have things figured out down the stretch.

Limar currently has 1,053 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns on 108 carries so far this season along with 13 catches for 132 more yards and another score.

LOVE ALL-AROUND: The Irish’s most recent running back commit in the Class of 2023 had a standout game of his own.

Jeremiyah Love‍ ran the ball 12 times for 97 yards and also pulled in three passes for 100 yards and a score as Christian Brothers College defeated Edwardsville 45-17.

Love has 630 yards and 10 touchdowns on 80 carries so far this season to go with eight receptions for 243 yards and two touchdowns.

CBC opens postseason play this Friday against Vianney.

GREATHOUSE CONTINUES TO LEAVE HIS MARK: Austin Westlake isn’t just one of the most storied programs in the state of Texas, it’s one of the most storied programs in the country.

So, what Jaden Greathouse‍ is doing there is worth noting.

The 2023 Irish wide receiver continues to write his name all over the program’s history books and added another chapter during its 70-0 win over Austin.

Greathouse caught five passes for 112 yards and two scores, including a 50-yarder that gave him 50 career touchdowns.

Earlier in the month, Greathouse notched his 200th career reception.

On the season, Greathouse has 32 catches for 616 yards and six scores.

OTHER 2023 COMMIT PERFORMANCES

Peyton Bowen‍ didn’t get too many opportunities to shine during Guyer’s nationally-televised game against Allen on Thursday, but the 2023 Irish safety commit took advantage of one opportunity in a major way. Bowen’s 60-yard punt return was the highlight of the week during Guyer’s 49-7 win over Allen.

Braylon James‍ caught two passes for 53 yards and a touchdown, in Stony Point’s 45-21 win over Westwood. The 2023 Irish receiver commit has caught 25 passes this season for 575 yards and five touchdowns.

2023 Notre Dame safety commit Benjamin Minich‍ had a pick and a sack during Lakota West’s 31-14 win over Colerain. Minich also caught five passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. The playoffs begin on Friday against Lebanon.

2023 Irish cornerback commit Micah Bell‍ continues to terrorize defenses as a running back, but his 149 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries weren’t enough last week as his Kinkaid squad fell to Episcopal 21-15. On the season, Bell has 1,046 yards and 12 touchdowns on 169 carries.
