Allen Breaks Down ND Commitment With ISD

Derrik Allen had about as many college options as any top student-athlete could have, but the 2018 Georgia defensive back’s decision to announce his commitment to Notre Dame on Monday night came down to one factor over the rest.

“The academics,” the 6-foot-2, 205-pound defensive back said.

Allen, who has made two unofficial visits to South Bend in the past year, plans to study Computer Engineering.

“The weight of the degree coming out of college,” Allen continued.
