Notre Dame Football Releases 2023 Schedule
Notre Dame football will travel across the world in 2023 as the program released its schedule on Wednesday morning.
The Fighting Irish announced they would travel to play Navy in Ireland to open the season back in November of 2021, so it’s not a surprise nor is the matchup with FCS Tennessee State the following week.
Clemson, Ohio State and USC highlight the schedule, but the Buckeyes and Tigers will be breaking in first-year starters. Notre Dame will also play four games before the Buckeyes come to South Bend. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Caleb Williams, will come to Notre Dame Stadium in mid-October.
Wake Forest is also one to circle as Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman broke ACC records for the Demon Deacons and will get to face his former team on Senior Day.
Notre Dame will also see familiar faces next fall as the Irish travel to Durham to face former defensive coordinator Mike Elko and Duke. Elko turned around the Blue Devils in just one year as they finished 9-4 in 2022.
Former Notre Dame quarterback Phil Jurkovec continues to show up on the schedule as the Irish will host Pitt at the end of October.
