2026 WR Jaylen Pile Worth Keeping An Eye On
It’s early, but if last month’s National Combine is any indication, 2026 Texas wide receiver Jaylen Pile is well on his way to becoming a national recruit.
The Southlake Carroll High School wideout was one of the standouts of the event, turning heads throughout.
“It was a really great experience going up against the top corners in every grade and just showing up and showing out what I can do and see if my training's been working,” the 6-foot, 170-pounder said. “It was a really great experience from the moment I stepped foot in the stadium.
“I showed everybody out there that I'm a route-runner, I'm a gamer. I can create separation, I can do lots of things.”
During the season, Pile received interest from schools like Baylor, Oklahoma State and North Carolina. He attended games at Baylor and Oklahoma State and was at Arkansas for a visit last month.
Notre Dame is one school he has his eye on and would love to build a relationship with.
“I just really look at the program,” he said. “Anywhere you go and you say Notre Dame, everybody knows about it. It's a very rich environment. They're just doing great things.”
Again, it’s early, but Pile has an idea of what he’s looking for in a school.
“I just want a school that I can go back to in a few years, bring my kids to show them around the place. Honestly, just a great coaching staff and a place I can build a bond with teammates and stuff like that.”
