Alan Fiddler isn’t surprised by the attention Bodie Kahoun‍ has received over the last month or so.

“He is a great kid,” the Patrick Henry High School head coach says of the 2024 Virginia linebacker.

“He looks the part. He's 6-3 220 and he can run. He's a 4.5 40 guy who can run. He's the total package. He's a 4.1 GPA guy. It's kind of a no-brainer, physical kid who plays downhill and can do a lot of things for you.”

On Tuesday, Notre Dame offered Kahoun a scholarship. In recent weeks, Kahoun has collected offers from schools like Virginia Tech, Tennessee and NC State among others.

The Notre Dame coaches see Kahoun as the type of player they want to add to their program.

“They just like him because like I say, he's a great kid who fits in what they do,” Fiddler says. “He's got good size. He's got a lot of potential and runs really well.”

Fiddler said it “definitely” grabbed Kahoun’s attention.

“It's a big-time offer, especially down here in Virginia,” the coach says. “To have a program like that offer a kid means a lot, especially because Bodie's family is from the Midwest.”

Kahoun tells ISD he already has plans to get to South Bend for a spring practice next month.

Kahoun is a versatile athlete and is actually committed to play lacrosse at Ohio State.

“He plays both here and he is good at both,” says Fiddler.

“He's got lacrosse coming up here. Next week, I think the season starts. But he's excited about football season and we should have a really good team and he'll definitely be a leader of that team.”
