Notre Dame has joined the race for elite 2025 quarterback George MacIntyre‍.

The Tennessee native announced his Irish offer during Notre Dame’s Pot of Gold push on St. Patrick’s Day.

Notre Dame joins schools like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Miami, Tennessee, Penn State and Texas A&M along with several other Power-5 programs who have also offered the Brentwood Academy star.

MacIntrye trains with Thomas Morris and the highly-respected QB Country group

“I first started training him in seventh grade and you could just tell there was something special about him,” Morris says of MacIntyre. “He reminds me a lot of a guy that we first started training at QB Country, Daniel Jones.

“The first thing that kind of got me thinking about him was just their size to begin with and the type of athletes they are. Daniel and George are similar athletes. George isn't going to be a 4.4 or 4.5 guy. He can't run as fast as Daniel, but he's just a fluid, great athlete. The way they carry themselves is similar. They have similar mannerisms, guys who don't necessarily care if the spotlight on them or not and they don't really feel it if it is.”

Like the New York Giants’ current quarterback, MacIntyre grew up as a standout basketball player and the full-time development in football came a little later than some of his peers.

“He's a kid who just has that It Factor,” Morris continues. “He's always been in the spotlight I guess because he played basketball and kind of was the star player. He's got offers in basketball. I feel like the limelight's been on him for a while, so no moment's too big, nothing's too big for him. He's just one of those kids, man, he's It Factor, he's special.”

The 6-foot-5, 185-pounder is extremely “fluid,” according to Morris.

“Everything he does is really effortless and easy,” he says. “He's a special talent. Potentially has first-round potential in my opinion.”

And Notre Dame is a school MacIntyre is seriously considering and could be visiting within the next few weeks.

“I would say Notre Dame is definitely not just a name on a list,” says Morris, who also works with former Irish quarterback Drew Pyne and current Notre Dame signal-caller Kenny Minchey.

“It is an offer that George actually really wanted. We've talked about Notre Dame multiple times.”

Morris has trouble describing how impressed he is with MacIntyre.

“The stuff you can't teach, George has all of it,” he says. “The only way I can explain it's the It Factor. Even when he gets in a group with a bunch of really good quarterbacks, everybody kind of gravitates toward him. He's got that natural leadership head factor and then he's just 6-5, 6-6, pretty, smooth, effortless, can throw it 65, 70 yards. He's got everything you want.

“He's really, really special. He's special.”
