2025 LB Justin Hill Visits Notre Dame, Will Be Back

Justin Hill‍ didn’t learn a ton about the academics during Friday’s visit to Notre Dame, but that’s ok, he didn’t need to.

The 2025 Ohio linebacker (pictured above, right with teammate Landen Anderson) already understands that part of it and they’ll be plenty of time to dive in deeper down the road.

“To be honest, I get it,” the Winton Woods High School standout told ISD following the visit. “It's a great academic school and there are so many like alumni who are doing so many things that you come out and there's so much money to be made after football and it can help you a lot.”

The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder did get a chance to meet with staff members like Chad Bowden, Al Golden and Marcus Freeman in person.

“It went great,” said Hill, who announced his Irish offer on St. Patrick’s Day. “I learned a lot.

“I talked to Coach Golden. I really like what he is doing, really love the defense. I spoke with Coach Freeman and hung around Coach Bowden. I really liked atmosphere. It's a nice place to be.”

Hill, whose offer sheet also includes schools like Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State, was impressed with Golden’s knowledge of the game.

“I feel like he understands football a lot,” he said of the Irish’s defensive coordinator. “Obviously, he knows a lot. I feel like I'm a student of the game and to know that he's such a good teacher of it is a great thing.”

He also came away with a great feel for Freeman.

“He is a great guy,” Hill said. ‘He's humble and he makes his team work.”

Hill already has his eye on a couple more possible trips to South Bend and one that is locked in.

“I'm pretty sure we're going to head up to the spring game if I can get there. If not, I know I'll be up there May, and I'm going to be up there when they play Ohio State.”
