Owen Strebig‍ had the chance to get a look at Notre Dame this past weekend and the 2025 Wisconsin offensive lineman left impressed.

“I had a great time,” the 6-foot-8, 290-pounder told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “It was awesome to be able to meet the staff and watch practice.

“I really enjoyed watching the offense get after it at practice.”

Strebig has offers from schools like Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn State, Iowa, Florida and Florida State among others.

He had individual meetings with head coach Marcus Freeman and offensive line coach Joe Rudolph.

“Coach Freeman talked to me about the program and how powerful a degree is from Notre Dame,” Strebig explained.

Strebig and Rudolph’s relationship dates back to Rudolph’s days coaching the offensive line at Virginia Tech.

“Me and Coach Rudolph have known each other for about a year, so it was good to catch up. I got to hear his ‘Why’ behind him coming to ND,” Strebig said.

The Catholic Memorial High School standout will close out his spring visit schedule with a trip to Illinois for the Illini’s spring game on Thursday night.

He certainly plans to be back in South Bend again this year.

“I hope to find another time to get on campus,” he said. “Whether it be this summer, or a game day or both.

“I really enjoyed my day in South Bend.  A very, very historic football program with very good things going on.”
