2025 WR Jourdin Houston Planning To Camp At Notre Dame
OAKDALE, Conn. – Jourdin Houston has already received scholarship offers from several Power-5 programs and judging from the 2025 wide receiver’s performance here during the 2023 Connecticut Showcase, that list is likely to grow.
“It was amazing,” Houston told Irish Sports Daily of the event afterward. “there was a whole lot of coaches. Of course, I was a little nervous at the beginning, but I had to do me.”
With dozens of Division-I coaches in attendance, including Notre Dame’s Al Golden, the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder was one of the standouts.
His offer sheet currently includes schools like Penn State, Pitt, Michigan State, Syracuse, Boston College, Rutgers, Temple and UConn.
“It feels good like to get noticed at a young age,” Houston said. “I'm 16. It just feels good.”
Golden kept a close eye on Houston during the session and the two have had some contact.
“Al Golden wants me come to camp,” Houston said of his communication with Notre Dame. “He loves me a lot. I just saw him out here earlier today.
It’s an invitation Houston plans on accepting and heading to South Bend this summer with the goal of showing the entire staff what he can do.
“That I'm a prospect, that I could hold my own and Notre Dame is a good look for me,” he said of what he hopes to showcase.
He’s intrigued by the Irish’s offense.
“I see that they throw the ball a lot,” he said. “That's what I need since I'm a wide receiver. I need to get yards, make myself known and get to The League. That's the main purpose.”
Houston plans on hitting other schools during the summer, but has locked in any visits just yet.
