2026 LB Cameron Melvin Looking Forward To Camping At Notre Dame
Cameron Melvin isn’t going to wait around to get noticed.
No, the 2026 North Carolina linebacker is hitting the road to do so this month.
The 5-foot-11, 225-pounder from Cleveland High School is scheduled to be at NC State, Notre Dame, Michigan, North Carolina, Duke and Penn State for camps this month.
Melvin doesn’t have any offers yet, but is on the radar of several Power 5 programs.
“It's good,” he says of the attention he’s received from colleges thus far.
“It feels good, but I feel I still need to work on some more stuff.
Melvin will be in South Bend for Notre Dame’s Irish Invasion showcase camp.
“It's a great school,” he says of Notre Dame. “I'm trying to see the University, how the coaches coach and learn more from about the coaches.”
Melvin, who also noted how much he likes the Irish’s defense, is looking to showcase what he can do on the field.
“My agility for my height and weight, my speed on the field and my vision,” he says of what he’s hoping to put on display during the camp.
It’s early, but Melvin has a broad idea of what he’s looking for in a college.
“A great developmental program and academics.”
