2024 OL Guerby Lambert Recaps Notre Dame Official Visit
Guerby Lambert made his first trip to Notre Dame for an official visit and it was worth the wait for the 2024 offensive lineman.
“It went well,” the Catholic Memorial High School standout told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “I toured the whole school. I got to talk to the players a lot. I talked to all the coaches. Overall, it was a great experience.
“It was really nice seeing the Basilica, the Stadium, Touchdown Jesus and all those things.”
Lambert got to spend plenty of time with the Notre Dame coaching staff, especially offensive line coach Joe Rudolph.
“He was a really good guy,” Lambert said of Rudolph. “All the players there had only good things to say about him, so I know he's a really good guy.”
Lambert also met with head coach Marcus Freeman.
“We talked a lot,” Lambert said. “He's a really personable person, easy to talk to, so he made it really easy.
“He wasn't bashing the other schools, but he was just trying to explain to me why he thinks it's the best fit for me. He wasn't going to try to force me to commit or force me to do anything. He told me to stick to my game plan and do what's best for me.”
Lambert will round out the month with official visits to Boston College, Ohio State and Penn State on successive weekends before getting into decision mode.
He said he plans to have a decision before the end of the summer and the Irish cemented their spot among his leaders with the trip this weekend.
“I feel really good, definitely one of the higher-ups on my board right now.”
