2025 OL Owen Strebig Ready For Return To Notre Dame
Two months after his most recent visit to South Bend, Owen Strebig will be back again.
The 2025 Wisconsin offensive lineman is set to visit Notre Dame on Thursday.
The 6-foot-8, 295-pounder landed an offer from the Irish back in March. His offer sheet also includes schools like Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn State, Iowa, Purdue, Florida, Florida State and Stanford among others.
Notre Dame has had the Catholic Memorial High School standout’s attention since the offer and he had a chance to get to know offensive line coach Joe Rudolph and head coach Marcus Freeman a bit during his previous visit.
“Just the history of Notre Dame, it's unbelievable,” he said of what has his interest. “I feel like I connected with Coach Rudolph and Coach Freeman, so I just want to continue to grow that relationship.
“They're just genuine people. They're not trying to sell me on some school. It's Notre Dame and I understand that, they understand that. So, just good people and they really know football, so I'm going to be able to get developed.”
He’s looking forward to diving into finer details of the University this visit.
“This visit, we're going to just be learning more about kind of the smaller stuff for the program,” he said.
“They're excited to get me back down and continue growing their relationship and they think I'd be a really good fit.”
Strebig hit the West Coast last week for visits to USC and UCLA.
“Those were really good,” he said. “They went really well, definitely two schools I want to get back to.”
He heads to Florida for a visit at the end of July.
Strebig says his decision will come down to “three simple things.”
“Degree, coaches and development,” he said.
“Degree, can I get my degree? How can that set me up in life? Coaches, what type of people are they are? Am I going to be in a good situation every day, day in, day out? And then development, are they going to be able to get me to the next level?”
