After getting to Notre Dame for the first time last week, Devin Williams is already looking forward to returning.
“The visit went great,” the 2025 Georgia cornerback told Irish Sports Daily. “I was very impressed with the whole campus and everything Notre Dame beholds. I enjoyed great hospitality from coaches and the players.”
One of the top prospects in the entire 2025 class, Williams currently holds offers from schools like Notre Dame, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Texas and Texas A&M among several others.
Irish cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens and Director of High School Scouting Dre Brown gave the Buford High School star a tour of the campus and the facilities.
“They showed me around and told me about the history of Notre Dame and told me what it’s all about,” said Williams. “And how the coaches interact with the players and how they push them to their best ability.”
The 5-foot-11, 168-pound Williams spent most of his day in South Bend with Mickens and Brown.
“They showed me what the football program was about and how they see me fitting in and where I would play,” he explained. “They expressed how good of a football player they think I am and how I could lock down any part of the field.
“My impression of the coaches is that they coach hard and push you to be the best you can be, but off the field they’re great people to be around and they’ll guide you to be the best version of you.”
Williams doesn’t have any other trips locked in the rest of the summer, but intends to be returning to South Bend this fall.
“I plan to come to a couple games for Notre Dame during the season and just keep in contact with them and continue to build a relationship,” he said.
“Overall, Notre Dame was an amazing visit and blew me away in many aspects of the visit and was collectively, a great visit and I can’t wait to return.”
