Do a great job evaluating a prospect early and it can be a great thing. It was when Notre Dame got in early as the first big time offer for wide receiver Isiah Canion. More offers came in, he rose up in the rankings, but wide receivers coach Chansi Stuckey was one of the first to identify that a guy who played a lot of quarterback could develop into an elite deep threat and it paid off with a commitment from Canion at the end of April.
