Anthony Sacca‍ was one of the first prospects Notre Dame offered in the Class of 2025, when the Irish offered the Pennsylvania linebacker/safety way back in December of 2021.

The Irish hosted the St. Joseph’s Prep star for their spring game back in April. Sacca won’t be back in South Bend for the Irish’s BBQ at the end of this month, but he does have a date picked out to return in the fall.

“I'm planning on being up there September 23rd for the game versus Ohio State,” says Sacca.

“I think it's going to be a lot of fun just to see what their game day experience is like. I was up there for the spring game. That was a lot of fun, but the stadium wasn't packed for that, so I'm sure it's going to be exciting to see that atmosphere at that game.”

Sacca’s offer sheet also includes schools like Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida State, Miami, Texas A&M, Oregon and USC among several others.

Sacca points to head coach Marcus Freeman as one of the biggest reasons he’s returning to South Bend.

“I feel like we have a good relationship and I'm definitely very interested in Notre Dame,” he says.

Sacca didn’t make any visits in June and only has one other trip in mind for the summer.

“I think I'm planning on Ohio State at the end of the month, but we're just trying to figure out dates,” he says. “We get our week of vacation for my team that week too, so we’re just trying to figure out dates.

“Ohio State is probably the only school I'll be visiting to the summer if I do get out there.”
